You Crack Me Up

I made this card for the Doodle Dragon Challenge to make something with an Easter theme. The image on the front of the card is a Dustin Pike Digistamp and I used the Cricut Easter and Home Decor carts to cut the backgrounds and borders for the sayings. I also added a Michael's $1 stamp to the inside. Both images were colored in with prisma markers.

Sock Cupcakes

Everybody on the Cricut Board has been making Sock Cupcakes, so I figured I would try them. I made these for my sisters and my mom for Easter. I still need to make a small one for my niece. They are made with a cupcake holder cut from the Easter Cricut Cart at real dial size 4 and the fuzzy socks that come from the $2 area in Michaels. I got the cherries at HL.

Rabbit "Pull Out" Jumbo Card

I made this Rabbit pull out card for my niece for Easter. I wanted to make her something different than the usual egg and bunny cards I am making. I also made this card bigger than usual, because she likes the Jumbo cards they have at the store. All cuts in this card are from the Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut Cart.

The hat is the magician's hat on page 59 of the manual. It was cut in black cardstock, twice at size 8 1/2. Once it was cut, I put adhesive around the edge of the first cut and attached the second cut so that the hats made a pocket. Next, I used a MS opaque white marker to make the hat lines on the hat. I then cut the flower border on page 78 at a size 2 3/4. (This is actually longer than needed, but I wanted the flowers this size, so I cut the border at 4 flowers.) I cut these with a shimmer cardstock and added adhesive, flat back pearls to the centers before attaching them in between the hat lines. I added prima flowers with glue dots to the bottom of the hat and added the same pearls to their centers.

Now, I was ready to cut my rabbit. The rabbit is also from the magician on page 59 of the manual. I cut the rabbit at a size 8 1/2 also. The rabbit was embellished with a small bow on her ear, some googly eyes, a glitter marker for the nose and then I used a pink colored pencil on the ears and a grey colored pencil on the mouth line.

Finally, I went to page 56 of the manual and cut the sign for the superboy in a pearlescent yellow paper. I then used a marker to outline the cuts score lines and added the hand written "Have a Magical Easter". I then attached this to the bunny under her hands and slipped the bunny into the hat pocket.

DoodleDragon Challenge

The current doodledragon challenge was to make one of the dragons from Dustin Pike girly. I used the pirate dragon. I colored the image with prisma colored pencils. I used pink and blue on the dragon to make it girly. I also added stickles in the color baby blue to the dragon to give it some sparkle and make it more girly. I have a link to the doodledragon challenge blog in my sidebar if you want to check their page out and enter the challenges.

Stuck on U Sketch

I used the Stuck on U Sketch for this week to design this page of our room steward. Pretty simple page, just layered a few different background papers, accented with some buttons and a small swirl clip, and used stickers for the titles.

Towel Animals

I made this page with a few of the pictures I took of the towel animals on our recent cruise. I always tend to take way more pictures than I need to of these on every cruise, because they are so cute.

I used inking on this page for the Practical Scrappers challenge for this week. A link to their site is in my side bar if you would like to check them out.

I cut the letters for the title with the Zooballoo cricut cartridge at a size 1 1/2 and inked them with a copper color ink from the colorbox cat's eye ink. I then embossed the baby blue strips that I was going to attach the letters with the cuttlebug swiss dots folder. After they were embossed, I went back and did a sponge type inking with white ink on them. I dabbed the ink along them and then spread it out with a fantastix colortool brush.

Thanks for looking!

Digital Cozumel Page

I made this page all digital with the Scrapbook Factory Deluxe Software. I usually don't make digital pages, but I really like how this one turned out.

Easter Egg Surprise Card

I made 10 of these cards for a swap I am in. I think they turned out cute. I used the Easter Cricut Cart for all of the cuts I made. The Egg was cut at a size 5 1/2 out of blue pearlescent cardstock. I cut the egg twice. I embossed the first egg with the cuttlebug spots and dots folder and then attached the two eggs together by only putting double sided tape around the edges. I did this, so that when I cut the egg in half, it would create a pocket for the chicken. The chicken was then cut at a size 2 1/2. I cut the regular chicken in yellow and the blackout in orange. I then colored in the eyes black. The chicken was then attached to inside of the top shell so that is could fit into the bottom shell. Once the card was finished, I used stickles to decorate some of the spots that were on the egg from the emossing folder. I used stickles in the following colors: Cotton Candy, Baby Blue, and Frosted Lace.
I also put this card in the Just Buggin challenge to use dry embossing on a project.

Scrapbooking on the Cruise!

The Class Leader, TJ.
Two of the ladies who were at my table.

First page I made on the boat.

Second page I made on the boat.

Here are some pics I took at the Scrapbooking Class on the Cruise last week.

I am back!

Our boat (Carnival Fantasy) and another boat docked in Cozumel.

Almost time for the sun to set over the ocean.
My Husband George at Fat Tuesday's.

I am allergic to Tomatos, so I thought this
would make a funny picture.

Just enjoying the view.

I am home from my trip! It was fantastic. There was even a scrapbooking class on the cruise that I took. I will be making tons of pages in the next week and also start working on Easter items and much more, so be on the look out for lots of new projects coming. It will take me a few days to get everything back in order here first though. I took almost 400 pictures on my trip, so I have a ton of scrapbooking ahead. Here are a few pictures from the trip.

Update on my grandfather

My grandfather's bone scan came back clear, so that is some good news. He will still have to go through chemo and radiation due to the bladder cancer and his heart not being in good enough condition for the surgery to remove the bladder. Thanks to everyone that prayed for him and please continue to pray for him. They have told us that once he starts his chemo and radiation he will not be able to go around a lot of people and everyone that comes to see him will need to wear masks to ensure that he does not catch anything, but we are just really thankful the cancer is not in his bones.

Non Traditional Valentine's Card

I wanted to make my hubby a card that wasn't just the regular reds with hearts and flowers for Valentine's day. I made him this card using the Wild Card Cart for the doily card cut at 5, and the Paisley Cart for the dog cut at 4 1/4. On the inside, I put the sentiment "I love having you around" as a play on words for the round hool a hoop. I used the MS loopy loop punch around the border on the inside sentiment. I put this card in the Just Buggin challenge for this week to make something for Valentine's day with the cricut.

Rockin Birthday Card

I made this card for Kaylee's 6th Birthday. The Doodledragon Challenge Blog has Challenge number 3 up and it was to make anything using Red, White and Black only. I used the Dustin Pike "You Rock" image. The star card was cut from the cricut using the Wild Card Cartridge and cut at a size 4 3/4. I used the top layer of the star as a stencil to trace around my image and cut it out. The inside red was hand cut and the inside sentiment was computer generated. I have a link to the Doodledragon Challenge Blog on my sidebar.

Zebra Wall Hanging

My niece has her room in pink with zebra stripes, so I made her this for her wall. The Zebra was cut from the Paisley Cricut Cartridge at a size 7. The layer sizes were cut as follows: car 3 1/4, Tire Centers 3/4, Zebra body 3 3/4, ear and middle circle 1, Flower 1 3/4. (I ended up not using the flower and its layer, because I liked the car without it.)

Kaylee's Art Holder

I altered this plastic bin that came from the dollar store with some vinyl and A Child's Year Cricut Cartridge. I made this for my niece and it has scissors, glue, google eyes, etc in it. This way she can keep it all together.

Prayer Request

Everybody Please be praying for my grandfather. He had surgery recently to have a tumor removed from his bladder. They have now found out he has stage 3 bladder cancer and it is worse than they thought. They cannot remove the bladder, because they don't think he could survive the surgery. He will be having chemo and radiation soon, but first they are doing a bone scan on Thursday to see if the cancer is in his bones. Please keep him in your prayers.
