Off The Wall Craftiness Challenge #11

This is my first time doing the challenge for Off the Wall Craftiness. The challenge this week provided the inspiration photo above for the colors to be used of Robins Egg Blue, Dark Chocolate Brown or Tan and White. (I did have to use a tiny bit of yellow on this one also, which is the beak of my little bird)

I used the Create a Critter Cart to make this card and designed it in the gypsy. I used my dark brown for the bird house and embossed it with the distressed stripes cuttlebug folder. I then added the white trimming and heart that were embossed with the swiss dots folder. I originally cut the little bird with a robins egg blue color and then decided that he needed a little flocking to make him stand out more. His wing was cut at a darker shade of blue, but then flocked, so it is only a sutle difference in color. I also added a tiny blue flower gemstone to the birds head to look like a little bow. I attached the little bird to the card with pop dots and also attached the wing with pop dots to give the card some more dimension. On the inside, I continued with the color scheme and cut my Happy Birthday in a robins egg blue color.

Be sure to check out all of the challenges and other great projects at the Off the Wall Craftiness Blog. http://offthewallcraftiness.blogspot.com/
