Day 11 of Halloween Crafts: Mummy Card and Gift Idea

Since my sister now has her birthday present, that is what I will be sharing with you for Day 11.  I had a mummy theme going, so I made her some cute little mummies to wrap up the gifts and a mummy card.

With the Gypsy, I used the mummy image from the Paper Doll Dress Up cart to make a shape card.  I used a glitter gel pen to make the lines on the mummy and added some green google eyes to him.

Next, I was giving my sister some Halloween socks and money, so I wanted to find a cute way to present the gift.  I found this adorable mummy holder at Marshalls and I decided to make the gift into little mummies.  I took the socks and rolled them up, then folded the money around the socks and used a piece of ribbon to attach them together.

Next, I used rolled gauze that I purchased from the Dollar Store to wrap these up like a mummy.  You have to wrap them a few times to make sure and cover the whole sock and make sure you cannot see through the gauze.  I used a safety pin to secure the gauze when I was finished wrapping them.

Next, I used hot glue to attach some google eyes to the front to complete my little mummies. I think they turned out cute.  She liked them too, but she did unroll all of them to get to her money and socks, lol.

I put a little bit of stuffing in the holder part to make sure you can see the mummies popping out of the top.  I then took some extra gauze and layed strips around coming out of the sides and back.
