Day 13 of the 20 Days of Christmas: Reindeer Candy Canes

For Day 13, I have a project to share with you that I have been making with my mom since I was a little girl.  We have made some of these almost every year since as long as I can remember.  They are cute and simple to make reindeer candy canes.

This picture is of a few made with the jumbo candy canes.  You can make these with any sized candy canes that you like.

I am going to show you how to make these with the regular sized candy canes.  First you will get two candy canes and use hot glue to connect them with the tops facing opposite directions.

Now, you will take brown yarn and hot glue a piece long ways on the back of the candy canes.

Let the glue dry for a second and then begin to wrap the yarn around the cane.  Once it is wrapped as high as you would like it, you can use hot glue to glue down the top of the yarn on the back of the candy canes.

Now, turn your candy canes over and decorate them.  I added google eyes, a red pom pom ball and a little ribbon to decorate the top.  You could also add a string to these if you wanted to make them into ornaments to hang up.
