This week over at Fantabulous Cricut, our theme is Sweet Shop. We were asked to use our cricut to create a project that incorporates an image of something sweet: ice cream, cake, etc. Be sure to stop by and see all of the DT's projects and get in on the challenge here: http://fantabulouscricut.blogspot.com/,
Well, my favorite sweets are ice cream and cupcakes, so I knew I wanted to pick one of those to use. I decided to go with ice cream. The ice cream cone on my layout is from Simply Charmed and I pop dotted the second layer of ice cream. I also used the Swiss Dots folder to emboss the cone and some Tim Holtz distress ink over it as well. The font is from Don Juan and I used the Gypsy to weld the letters together for the title. I then used Storybook to cut the frame and added some ribbon and a button to the bottom. I did not use any adhesive on the middle part of the ribbon, so I will be able to slip a picture right under it. I wanted the layout to be sparkly, so I used glitter cardstock for most of the cuts on this page and the background paper is by Heidi Swapp Looks like me and Kaylee will have to go out for ice cream one day to get a picture for this layout, lol.
