This week, our challenge at Cooking with Cricut is Emboss It. You have to use some type of embossing on your project and you also need to use a Cricut cut as well. Be sure to stop by the blog to see all of the great projects from the Design Team here and be sure to get your own embossing project entered into the challenge.
For my project, I decided to do a layout. I used the Simply Charmed cartridge for the title and strawberries and Sugar and Spice for the frame. For the title, I hid the face inside the B and added the shape to make it a regular letter. For embossing, I used the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug Folder on the title and the strawberries and the Distressed Stripes Cuttle bug folder on the stems. I also used color box chalk ink in aquamarine to ink the stems over the embossing. Finally, I outlined everything, added google eyes to the strawberries, and then added small dots to the frame with a red marker to finish off the layout.
Here is another picture where you can see the embossing a little bit more.
I am also entering this layout into the challenge at Inking it Up. The challenge is to use pink and red in your project. You can find the challenge here.
