Guest Designer for Decorate To Celebrate

I am so excited that it is finally time for the challenges to begin over at Rhonda and Amy's new blog Decorate to Celebrate.  They asked me to be a guest designer for their first challenge and the theme is Father's Day!  This blog is all about party decorations, favors, etc.  Be sure to stop by the blog and enter the first challenge here: http://decoratetocelebrate.blogspot.com/

For my project, I thought it would be fun to do a play on words and use the daddyo cut from the Nifty Fifties Cricut Cartridge.  I also used the George and Basic Shapes Cartridge for the gift bag oval as well.  I made a gift bag, t-shirt and cupcake toppers.  I think my dad will get a kick out of this!

For the gift bag, I purchased a plain bag at Walmart and then decorated it.  I made the cuts and then hot glued them to the front of the bag.

For the t-shirt, I used vinyl to cut the daddyo phrase and I cut off the guitar shape.  I then used another piece of vinyl to make the circle for the d.  Once I had the phrase how I liked it, I placed the negative image on the t-shirt and used fabric paint to fill in the stencil.

Finally, I made the cuts for the cupcake holders and hot glued them to mini skewers.
