Spook-tac-u-lar Day 24: Mummy Bowling Pin (And a Giveaway)

Welcome back to Day 23 of the Spook-tac-u-lar Halloween Projects.  I hope everybody had a great weekend.  It is Monday here, so that means time for a new Halloween giveaway, be sure to check the bottom of this post for details.  Also, be sure to stop by and see what Rhonda has to share with you at http://www.scraphappenswithrhonda.blogspot.com/ when you are finished here.

Today's project I have to share with you is another cute and simple decoration, a mummy bowling pin.  My family loves bowling, so this is perfect for us, lol.
I started out by taking a small wooden bowling pin (from a kid's play set) and spray painting it white.

Next, I took some rolled guaze (from the Dollar Tree) and used a hot glue gun to roll and attach the gauze around the pin.  Remember, this doesn't need to be perfect, you can roll it around how thick or loose you like.

Once this was completely wrapped, I used Tim Holtz Antique Linen Distress Ink along the gauze to give it an aged look.  Again, this is a step that can be done as much or little as you like depending on your preference.
Finally, I used hot glue to add two little yellow google eyes to the front to finish him off.
For this week's giveaway, I have a pack of six glitters from Recollections.  To be elgible, you will need to 1) Become a Follower if you are not already and 2) Leave a comment on this post.  All comments through noon on  Thursday, October 27th will be elgible and I will use random.org to pick a winner who will be announced here on Friday, October 28th.  Good Luck to everyone! :)
