Day 11 of the 20 Days of Christmas: Santa Claus Picture

Welcome to Day 11 of the 20 Days of Christmas.  First off, today is my hubby's birthday, so a big Happy Birthday to him!! Now, on to today's project.  I made a Santa Claus Picture for the wall.

I started out with a frame from Walmart that was $5 in their value section.  The frame is 9inx17in on the outside and the inside part where the picture goes is 6.5inx15in.  I cut the Santa from the Christmas Solutions cart at a size of 11.8in wide and then I cut the moon and layers as well.  I used the Gypsy to size them all accordingly.

I didn't have a sheet of paper to fit in the frame, so I took a 13x19 piece of matt paper that I have for my printer and cut it down to size.  I then painted it blue.  You have to be careful while painting this, to make sure there aren't brush strokes all over it, so I painted it slowly and made sure to keep a similar motion going while painting it.  I used acrylic paint in the color cobalt blue.  It is actually a little darker in person than it looks in this picture.

After the paint dried, I just used zig glue to attach the Santa and moon to finish off the frame.
