Spook-tac-u-lar Day 3: Spider T-shirts and a Giveaway

Welcome back to day 3 of the 31 days of Spook-tac-u-lar crafts with Jean and Rhonda.  I hope you have enjoyed the crafts we have showed so far and will continue to join us throughout the month.  Be sure to stop by and visit Rhonda after you are finished here to see what she has to share with you today at http://www.scraphappenswithrhonda.blogspot.com/.  Also, it is time for the first giveaway today.  See the bottom of my post for details on what I am giving away.

For my project today, I have a spider t-shirt to share with you.  I made one of these for me and for Kaylee.  They are really simple and have a cool 3D effect.

To make these, you will need a plain white t-shirt, some spider rings, and a hot glue gun.
I pulled out the black spiders and cut the ring part off of them.  This is very easy to cut, because they are pretty flimsy.
I used a cardboard base on the t-shirts to stretch them out and then used the glue gun to attach the spiders around the sides.  I wanted it to look like they were climbing up the sides of the shirts.

You can put as many or as few spiders as you want on the shirts and they could be in any design you want.  For Kaylee's shirt, I didn't put any of the arms, because they may bother her.

Now, for the giveaway.  I have a 4x6 Halloween paper stack and a few sets of Halloween Stickers to giveaway.  (see pic below)  To be elgible for this giveaway, you will need to 1) Become a Follower if you are not already and 2) Leave a comment on this post.  All comments throught Thursday, Oct. 6th will be entered and I will use random.org to pick a winner and announce them here on Friday, Oct. 7th.

  2. Very spooky and cute! Thanks for sharing! A couple of years ago I spent a lot of quality time sewing plastic snakes to a shirt and hat for my son... He wanted to be a snake charmer ( his idea). Sure wish I would have thought about using my glue gun! Thanks for the chance to win your fun fall treats!
