Spook-tac-u-lar Day 4: Ghost Gourds - "Ghoulfriend and Boofriend"

Welcome to day 4 of the Halloween Spook-tac-u-lar.  Remeber to view yesterday's post for this week's giveaway if you missed it.  Also, make sure to go over and see what Rhonda has to share with you today at http://www.scraphappenswithrhonda.blogspot.com/ after you are finished here. :)

Now, for today I have a simple little Halloween decoration to share with you.  I have made some Ghost Gourds.  I think they turned out really cute.  My hubby says they look like they are singing, lol.  I think with their little accessories, they are "ghoulfriend and boofriend".

I started out with 4inch mini gourds from the Dollar Tree.

Now, I used white spray paint to cover the gourds and then used a pencil to draw out a face template on them.  You could make the face look however you want and you could also use a stencil if you wanted to.

Once I had the face finished, I used Tulip Slick Paing to fill in the face and mouth.  I like the texture of this paint and it is easy to apply.  However, make sure you do not put this on too thick or it could run while drying.

Now, to cuten them up, I used the hot glue gun to add a bow and a bowtie to them.
I am linking these up here:
