Bunny Candy Bars

I got the cutfile for these adorable bunnies from Cindy McVey on the Cricut Message Board. You can visit her blog at http://crazy4crafting.blogspot.com/ for great projects and cut files. She always has adorable stuff on there, so be sure to check it out. These are on regular size chocolate candy bars! Her cut file for this project uses the George cart only.

Bunny Fett

My husband is a huge fan of Boba Fett from Star Wars. He actually made a Boba Fett costume for Halloween last year. (picture above the card is him) So, I thought it would only be right to make him a card for halloween with his favorite bounty hunter on it. I used the following carts on this card: Everyday Paper Dolls for the bunny cut at size 4, Easter solutions for the eggs cut at sizes 1, 1 1/4 and 1 1/2 (also embossed the eggs with the cuttlebug), and I used Home Decor for the flower frame cut at a size 3 1/2.
The card front says "When the Easter Bunny has missing eggs to find, there is only one bounty hunter that he trusts with the job" (computer generated with font Alegro) and the inside says "Bunny Fett" (computer generated with font Agent Orange. I printed this out in black and white and colored the letters in with a yellow paint marker.
The Bunny Fett on the inside was a graphic from the computer.

Cookie Monster Easter Card

One of my sisters asked me to make her an Easter Card with Cookie Monster on it. I came up with saying "Who needs chocolate bunnies, when you can have chocolate chip cookies" The bunny on the front is cut from the Easter Solutions cart at a size 5 and cookie monster is cut from Sesame Street friends at a size 6. I also used the home decor cart for the journal frames. The paper is from the MS school pack. I liked it to begin with, but now I am thinking that it kind of hurts my eyes, so I may need to redo the background paper, what do you think?

Hap-pea Easter

I saw this saying used on the Cricut Message board and wanted to make a card of my own. My husband drew the peas for me with their little Easter hats. I think they turned out so cute!! I colored them in with prisma colored pencils. All of the letters and the dash are cut from the Don Juan cart and on pearlescent yellow cardstock.

Sock Ice Cream Cone (kind of funny)

Okay, I am not 100% happy with how this turned out, but I still like it. I could not find any kid size fuzzy socks, so I ended up getting two pair of regular socks. Once I had wrapped them all together, it turned out looking more like an ice cream cone than a cupcake, so I modified by rolling the sock more upwards looking.

Easter Basket

I finally got around to putting my niece's Easter basket together. The container was originally just pink, so I added some purple ribbon with terrifically tacky double sided tape and a premade wooden easter shape with hot glue. The Happy Easter regular and shadow were cut at fit to page on a 12x12 matt, this made them come out to a size of about 6 1/2. The chicks were cut in the following sizes: Two at a size 3 1/2, one at a size 3, and two at a size 2 1/4. I cut there blackout in orage, the top layer in yellow and used black to color in the eyes. All cuts were made from the Easter Solutions cart and all cardstock was pearlescent to give the cuts a little bit of sheen. (I think it would have looked nice to flock the chickens, but I didn't have any yellow flocking.)

Over at Fantabulous Cricut, their challenge this week was to make an Easter themed project using pastel colors, so I entered this in their challenge.

Paisley Cricut Challenge

On the Cricut Message Board, they have a cartridge exploration challenge each week and this week the challenge is to use the Paisley Cartridge. I decided to cut the monkeys from the cart for this cute layout on my niece at her circus fieldtrip.

The cardstock I used already had a glittered background with designs that worked good for this layout. I then used a wall sticker and added blue stickles to it to add a little more dimension. The three monkeys were cut at the following sizes: Monkey 1 - size 4 1/2 with layers at 1 (I used stickles on the cheeks and added a sucker embellishment sticker), Monkey 2 - size 4 1/2 with layers at 1 (I used stickles around the hat and added buttons), for Monkey 3 - size 5 with layers at 1 1/4 (I used stickles on the bow).

You Crack Me Up

I made this card for the Doodle Dragon Challenge to make something with an Easter theme. The image on the front of the card is a Dustin Pike Digistamp and I used the Cricut Easter and Home Decor carts to cut the backgrounds and borders for the sayings. I also added a Michael's $1 stamp to the inside. Both images were colored in with prisma markers.

Sock Cupcakes

Everybody on the Cricut Board has been making Sock Cupcakes, so I figured I would try them. I made these for my sisters and my mom for Easter. I still need to make a small one for my niece. They are made with a cupcake holder cut from the Easter Cricut Cart at real dial size 4 and the fuzzy socks that come from the $2 area in Michaels. I got the cherries at HL.

Rabbit "Pull Out" Jumbo Card

I made this Rabbit pull out card for my niece for Easter. I wanted to make her something different than the usual egg and bunny cards I am making. I also made this card bigger than usual, because she likes the Jumbo cards they have at the store. All cuts in this card are from the Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut Cart.

The hat is the magician's hat on page 59 of the manual. It was cut in black cardstock, twice at size 8 1/2. Once it was cut, I put adhesive around the edge of the first cut and attached the second cut so that the hats made a pocket. Next, I used a MS opaque white marker to make the hat lines on the hat. I then cut the flower border on page 78 at a size 2 3/4. (This is actually longer than needed, but I wanted the flowers this size, so I cut the border at 4 flowers.) I cut these with a shimmer cardstock and added adhesive, flat back pearls to the centers before attaching them in between the hat lines. I added prima flowers with glue dots to the bottom of the hat and added the same pearls to their centers.

Now, I was ready to cut my rabbit. The rabbit is also from the magician on page 59 of the manual. I cut the rabbit at a size 8 1/2 also. The rabbit was embellished with a small bow on her ear, some googly eyes, a glitter marker for the nose and then I used a pink colored pencil on the ears and a grey colored pencil on the mouth line.

Finally, I went to page 56 of the manual and cut the sign for the superboy in a pearlescent yellow paper. I then used a marker to outline the cuts score lines and added the hand written "Have a Magical Easter". I then attached this to the bunny under her hands and slipped the bunny into the hat pocket.

DoodleDragon Challenge

The current doodledragon challenge was to make one of the dragons from Dustin Pike girly. I used the pirate dragon. I colored the image with prisma colored pencils. I used pink and blue on the dragon to make it girly. I also added stickles in the color baby blue to the dragon to give it some sparkle and make it more girly. I have a link to the doodledragon challenge blog in my sidebar if you want to check their page out and enter the challenges.

Stuck on U Sketch

I used the Stuck on U Sketch for this week to design this page of our room steward. Pretty simple page, just layered a few different background papers, accented with some buttons and a small swirl clip, and used stickers for the titles.

Towel Animals

I made this page with a few of the pictures I took of the towel animals on our recent cruise. I always tend to take way more pictures than I need to of these on every cruise, because they are so cute.

I used inking on this page for the Practical Scrappers challenge for this week. A link to their site is in my side bar if you would like to check them out.

I cut the letters for the title with the Zooballoo cricut cartridge at a size 1 1/2 and inked them with a copper color ink from the colorbox cat's eye ink. I then embossed the baby blue strips that I was going to attach the letters with the cuttlebug swiss dots folder. After they were embossed, I went back and did a sponge type inking with white ink on them. I dabbed the ink along them and then spread it out with a fantastix colortool brush.

Thanks for looking!

Digital Cozumel Page

I made this page all digital with the Scrapbook Factory Deluxe Software. I usually don't make digital pages, but I really like how this one turned out.

Easter Egg Surprise Card

I made 10 of these cards for a swap I am in. I think they turned out cute. I used the Easter Cricut Cart for all of the cuts I made. The Egg was cut at a size 5 1/2 out of blue pearlescent cardstock. I cut the egg twice. I embossed the first egg with the cuttlebug spots and dots folder and then attached the two eggs together by only putting double sided tape around the edges. I did this, so that when I cut the egg in half, it would create a pocket for the chicken. The chicken was then cut at a size 2 1/2. I cut the regular chicken in yellow and the blackout in orange. I then colored in the eyes black. The chicken was then attached to inside of the top shell so that is could fit into the bottom shell. Once the card was finished, I used stickles to decorate some of the spots that were on the egg from the emossing folder. I used stickles in the following colors: Cotton Candy, Baby Blue, and Frosted Lace.
I also put this card in the Just Buggin challenge to use dry embossing on a project.
