Cactus Pin Cushion

I saw this idea in a book that I got from Hobby Lobby on patchwork projects.  I used that inspiration and hand drew my own pattern to the size that I wanted to make this.  I used fat quarters for the fabric that is the cactus and the base.  I got the small flower pot from the craft store also.  When the cactus was sewn, I added some pins to my pin cushion to look like the needles on the cactus.
I am entering this into the following challenge:
Frosted Designs: Stitching: http://www.frosteddesigns.blogspot.com/
