Uncle Sam Glass Block

I have had this idea for a while now, ever since I found an SVG of Uncle Sam on Wikipedia.  I used a mini glass block from Hobby Lobby for this.  The inside is filled with foam stars that are white with glitter on them.  I then used a red, white and blue star ribbon around the outside.  I don't know if anybody else is like me, but I feel like I cannot tie a decent bow to save my life, lol.  Anyways, I then used SCAL and the Cricut to cut the Uncle Sam out in black vinyl.  This is my first 4th of July Decoration for this year.

Here is a picture of how the back of the block looks and a better view of the foam stars.
I am entering this into the following challenge:

I know what you mean about making bows. I have a heck of a time and it takes me three and four attempts before I am happy.

Jean, I LOVE the vinyl cut of Uncle Sam!! That's AMAZING!! :) My tip for the bows is to use ribbon with wired edges for larger bows -- It's not impossible to mess them up, but it's a lot easier to force it into the position you want it to be!! LOL... :) I can't tie a big bow to save my life if it doesn't have wired edges!! :)

Thanks so much for decorating your celebrations at the Decorate To Celebrate! Challenge Blog!

Very cool! I love the Uncle Sam. I know what you mean about tying bows. I usually have to tie them 5 or 6 times before they look right. :)
