Pet Gifts

I have been working on some gifts for the pets in our family.  I wanted to decorate a food bowl for Kaylee's Yorkie and for Whitney's cat, so here is what I did for them.

For the dog, I found this bone shaped bowl at Target for $2.50 in the dollar section at the front of the store.  I used Don Juan for the letters and Mickey and Friends for the bones.  These were cut on white vinyl.

For the cat, I found this bowl at Walmart.  I used Don Juan for the letters and Paper Pups for the paw prints.  These were cut on bright pink vinyl.

OMG jean! what a great idea. How did you do that? I don't understand (sorry, I've never worked with vinyl). but-- that is sooooo awesome! i love it. I usually make a lot of pet gifts for the holidays. I wish I knew how to make that.

Thanks. I used the Cricut to cut the images. I took a ruler and measured the area I wanted to cover on the bowl to determine the size I wanted to make the cuts. If you don't have a cricut or cutting machine, you could use a stencil to trace your letters on the vinyl and then cut it by hand, it would just take longer. I get my vinyl at Hobby Lobby and it is about $7.99 a roll for each color. Hope this helps. If you have any more questions let me know. :)
