Fantabulous Cricut Crawl: Deck the Halls

Welcome to Jean's Crafty Corner and the third Fantabulous Cricut Crawl...Fantabulous Cricut's version of a blog hop!  (If you are here for the 20 days of Christmas, be sure to check the previous post for today's project)

In honor of the approaching Christmas holiday, we're having a "Deck The Halls" Crawl...each Design Team member will be featuring an original Christmas/Holiday-themed project that could be used to decorate and spruce up their homes for the Holiday Season!

If you've come from visiting Jamie at http://cutecardsandcraftsbyjamie.blogspot.com/, you're in the right place! If you've just happened across my blog and would like to play along with our Fantabulous Cricut Crawl, start HERE http://fantabulouscricut.blogspot.com/.

Make sure to check out each DT member's blog for some awesome inspiration! There will be PRIZES along the way at our DT members' blogs, AND there will be a Grand Prize up for grabs at FCCB for one participant that submits a "Deck The Halls" project at FCCB!

How fun is that?

For my project, I made a Christmas Card Holder that you can hang up to display all of the cards you receive.

I started out with a pizza pan that I spray painted with Krylon paint in the color Banner Red and clothespins that I spray painted with Krylon paint in the color nickel.

I then hand cut some white cardstock to look like a pile of snow and used Tulip puffy paint and a heat gun to give it the appearance of real snow.

Next, I hot glued ribbon to the back of the pan so I could hang it up.

Now, I used my cricut to cut the final details.  I used Don Juan to cut the font out of white vinyl.  I then used Create a Critter for the reindeer, 3 Birds on Parade for his mail bag (I hand cut and made the letters to Santa), and Mickey and Friends for the mailbox.  I hot glued all of the cuts onto the pizza pan and then hot glued the clothespins around the edge of the pan.

Now for the giveaway, I am offering you a chance to win 3 sets of Martha Stewart stamps.  To be eligible, you will need to:

1) Become a Follower if you are not already.
2) Leave a comment on this post.

I will take all comments left on this post through Sunday, December 19th and will use random.org to select a winner. The winner will be announced on Monday, December 20th.  Here are the three sets up for grabs!  Good Luck!

Now it's your turn! Let's see your Christmas/Holiday-Themed Decor projects! Make sure to include a Cricut cut somewhere on your project!

Next stop is Jennifer's blog, http://ascrappinaggie.blogspot.com/.  Go see what she has in store for you today... And when you're done, make sure to link up your project to FCCB's Fantabulous Cricut Crawl post to be entered into the contest!

Happy Crawling!
