Happy Hauntings 3D items

I got the Happy Hauntings cart in the mail today and I wanted to try a few of the 3d items. I want to make the haunted house, but it seems a little complicated, so I am going to save that for when I have a full day to work on it. I did make the 3d tree and the serving tray. For the tree, I used some tape to hold the ends together and then I inked the whole tree with a white and silver ink mixture and I added some little ghosts. These are actually from some Halloween confetti that my sister gave me, they were the perfect size to add to my spooky tree. I didn't do any additional embellishing to the tray. I did cut the doily to go on it, but I don't really care for it, so I didn't glue it down. I took a picture of the tray with it and without it so you can see it both ways. I think this is going to be one of my favorite carts, because it has some adorable Halloween stuff on it.

Today is my 9 year anniversary

Today, I have been married 9 years. My hubby got me the Wall Decor and More cart and he made me a card. I like the cartoon Invader Zim, so he drew the little robot guy Gir from the show on a card for me and he also made me a picture of him that I have already hung up in my scrap area. I love that he made me a card instead of buying me one! (Isn't this Gir guy so cute, lol)

Jumping on the Trampoline

This is a two page layout of Kaylee and George jumping on the trampoline. They were having such a good time, I had to scrapbook this. I cut the trampoline from Everyday Paper Dolls and the letters and arrows from Don Juan. I added some lines with the white opaque marker around the jump word to give it a look like it was bouncing and I added some lines to the arrows as well. The background paper with the clouds came from a paper pack that I got at Big Lots for $3. I like how these turned out, even though they are very simple layouts.

GranGran Turns 50

These layouts are from when my mom turned 50 this year. The little hats are stickers from K and Company that came in one pack. I used the Gypsy to cut the title out of the paper and then put another sheet behind the page so you could see it. The two swirls on the second page were precut die cuts from a pack that my sister gave me.

Barbie's Dream House

They have a replica of Barbie's Dream House in Gatlinburg that Kaylee was really excited about seeing, so I decided to make a page for this. I printed out the background sheet with the title (got the Barbie font for free off of the internet) and I printed the page with the two 5x7 matts in the same color as the title. I then cut the silhouette from the Sweethearts cart. The flower is a transparency frame and I wrote replica in Gatlinburg under the flower. I also added some rhinestones on the page, because you know Barbie is a glitzy girl.

Smile and Say Cheese Layouts

I made these layouts for the Fantabulous Cricut National Smile Week Challenge. The smile on the first page was cut from A Child's Year and all of the cuts on the say cheese page are from Create A Critter. OTWC Challenge #19

Above is the inspiration photo and colors for the Off the Wall Craftiness challenge this week. I started out with a background page of pale yellow. I then took a white opaque pen and drew some swirls around the page to make it not so plain. I then added my picture and framed it with a pastel green ribbon with white lines. For the pink color, I used the mini monsters cart to cut out some candy swirls in a pale pink color and then I covered them with star dust stickles and some cotton candy stickles for the swirls. (The last 4 at the bottom have diamond stickles, because I ran out of star dust, but I don't think you can really tell that much of a difference) I like to use these colors of stickles over colored paper, because you get the sparkly effect, but you can also still see the color of the paper that you started with.

You're DogGone Great!

Melissa wanted me make something for her to give to the dog trainer, because Toby is almost finished with obedience school. I got this little bucket with a bone on it from the $1 section at Target. I cut the dog and fire hydrant from Create a Critter and the dog bones from Mickey and Friends. The bones were cut from white paper and then I inked them with the Tim Holtz distress ink Antique Linen. I put a styrofoam ball in the bottom and then used some shredded paper filler to cover it up before I added the peppermints in. I wrote in You're DogGone Great with a pen. I think the dog on Create a Critter is just too cute!!

Lots of Monsters

I just finished making the invitations for Kaylee's Halloween Party today. (I know it is early, but I am working on all of the Halloween projects early this year since I will be out of town in October some) I made 54 of these invitations and they were made with the Mini Monsters cart. I only cut one layer to go over the card and then drew on the mouth and added googly eyes. I tried to keep them cute and simple since I had so many to make. The tops are all mainly pink type colors, but there are all different color bases. The inside is computer generated and says: "Come do the Monster Mash at Kaylee's Halloween Bash" with all of the party details as well.

I love you S'More than ever Card

I made this card for my husband for our 9 year anniversary which is next Wednesday. The card was my first easel card attempt and I actually measured it out and cut it by hand (old school) instead of using the Cricut. I then printed out the saying and the digi stamp. The stamp of the porcupine is Dustin Pike, but he was only roasting marshmallows, so I drew in the graham crackers box and hershey bar at the bottom and I also drew in the thought bubbles and the little smore at the top. I colored this guy in with prismacolor colored pencils. The font I used on this one is called Brazil. I love these easel cards because they can fold up to fit in an envelope, but can also then be set up to display. I am thinking I need to creat a Gypsy file for them, since I will probably be making more:).

Cricut Address Book

Well, I made this as a gift but I am seriously thinking about keeping it. Just kidding, I am going to give it away, but I will be making me another one for sure. This was a binder for index cards that I got from the dollar store. The front is covered in yellow pearleascent paper with scor tape. I then used stickers down the spine to spell out address. The Cricut on the front was cut using the gypsy from George and Basic Shapes and Plantin Schoolbook. I used the computer to print the title part. For the inside, I cut the dividers with tabs from the From my Kitchen cart, I altered these to the size I needed on the Gypsy. The font letters are from Tie the Knot. It took a little while to finish this, but I really love how it turned out.

Halloween Costume Sneak Peak (Work in Progress-Not Finished)

Halloween is a really busy time for us, because we have a big party at my mom's house, George paints pumpkins for the market, and we usually go on a big vacation around that time as well. We usually go down to Universal Studios and Disney for their Halloween Celebrations the week before, but this year we are doing a 7 day cruise to Atlantis, Bahamas and Key West in October, so we are trying to get everything finished early.

My husband has been working on his outfit since March of this year, because he is making an Iron Man costume from scratch and hand painting it. He has finished the helmet so far. This started out as paper patterns that he put together and then covered with smooth on that makes it become plastic and he then uses spactle and things to make it become hard and sturdy.

I am going to be a lego man this year, so he has started working on it as well. The head is completely finished. It is a bucket that he cut to size and cut out eye holes. There are sunglass lenses behind the eyes and then we made a little lid on the top for the top of the lego. The body has been constructed out of foam board, but we still have to paint it and finish it. Just wanted to give you guys a sneak peak of how they are coming along.

Memo Station

I made this little memo station as a gift. The base is a 4x6 clear acrylic frame. I cut a piece of scrapbook paper for the inside from the little paper that came in the frame. The B on the front is cut with white vinyl from the Tie the Knot Cartridge. I used Stampin Up red tape to adhere the post it note to this.

Summer Fun Page (SOUS)

Stuck on U Sketches did not have a sketch this week, but had a challenge of summer theme. These are some pictures that I took at the park on a day that Kaylee spent with me. I thought these little bugs that she was playing on were so cute. The bee with a flag is a Dustin Pike digistamp that I added the blue inside the banner and words before I printed it. Once I cut it out, I then used a combination of prismacolor markers and color pencils to fill him in. Birthday Card and Gifts

One of my friends son is having a birthday this week, and I bought him a gift card, but I thought I would make a couple of things for him to go with it as well. This card was cut from the Wild Card Cart and the images on it are Dustin Pike Digi Stamps.

Vinyl Bottle Picture has been removed, because it is out for publication.

I also made him one of the tealight birthday cakes. I used a blue-green ribbon for the sides and went with a dark blue for the top. The words and swirls on top were done with a white gel pen.

A Beary Good Vacation

The Fantabulous Cricut Challenge was to use an animal cricut cut on your project. For this layout, I cut the bear from the Zooballoo cart, the don't feed the animals from Animal Kingdom and the top title was letters from Don Juan that I welded together on the Gypsy before cutting. The letters around the bears hands are stickers. I really like this bear cut, because he looks kind of cartoonish rather than realistic.
