Old School Wedding Layout - No Cricut

I made this layout to enter in the challenge over at Whimsical Wednesday this week.  Their challenge is Back to Basics.  You cannot use the Cricut on your project and you have to include an old school embellishment.  You can find their blog here: http://whimsicalwednesdays.blogspot.com/

The background sheet of paper I used is by Adorn It.  I then hand cut a matt for my photo out of white shimmer cardstock and used some mini flowers I got out of the wedding section at Michaels to create a heart shape around the pictures.  The Beautiful at the bottom is a Jolee's sticker from Michaels and I also matted it on black and white cardstock before attaching it to the bottom of my layout.

Here is a close up of the flower heart frame I made.

Love the "old school" layout!! Came out awesome. I am making 4th of July invites and I just said to my friend, they are "old school" as I only used stamps and paper!! LOL

My goodness is this ever lovely! It is simple, elegant & I really love the colors. They go well with the photo and that heart frame of flowers around the picture is brilliant.
Great job!

This LO is stunning:) You did a great job with the criculess challenge. I love the way you created the heart using flowers. I could not believe that was a sticker..so pretty. Great idea to mat it on the black really helps it stand out. Thank you for joining us at Whimsical Wedensdays.

Your LO is just BEAUTIFUL! I LOVE the flower frame! Just perfect! The background paper is too! I like how you did the sticker... it really does pop! I love that you put very little on.. the center of attention should be the Happy couple! Thanks for playing along with us at Whimsical Wednesday's!
