MSC Challenge: Breast Cancer Awareness Pumpkin

The challenge at My Sheri Crafts this week is to make a project for Breast Cancer Awareness.  You can find their blog here: http://myshericrafts.blogspot.com/

I thought since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, it would be fun to incorporate the theme with the month and make a pumpkin.  I started out with a plastic pumpkin and used light pink paint to cover the pumpkin.  I then took a pencil and hand drew the ribbons around the pumpkin (I am not that great at drawing, but I think they turned out okay).  After they were drawn, I used white paint to fill in the drawings and then I took a q-tip and used it to make small dots with the white paint around the pumpkin as well.

Jean, how adorable!!! And something that boosts the spirits and makes you smile -- it's fun and does not add burden to or immediately bring to mind what might be a sad situation for some! I love it!
