Day 9 of Halloween Projects: Witch Sign and a Giveaway

Today is my sister Melissa's birthday, so I want to say Happy Birthday to her and I am going to show a Halloween project that I made for her to use at her work.

I used the Storybook Cart and the Marquee cut for the base of this sign.  I cut it in Tim Holtz grungeboard first and then cut it again in prismacolor pearlescent purple paper to cover the base.  (This made it more sturdy than just using the cardstock)  I added some faux stitch marks around the edge of the sign with a white opaque pen.

Next, I used the Mini Monsters cart for the witch and I used Don Juan for the words and numbers.  I used the gypsy to weld the letters together in the title.  I then used a white opaque pen, some stickles and google eyes to add some details to the sign.

Once it was completed, I used the crop a dile to punch the circles in the top and then used 18 gauge craft wire to make the handle to hang the sign from.

In addition to the project, I have the second giveaway today.  My sister loves Halloween socks, so since it is her birthday, I thought it would be fun to include some Halloween socks and scrapbook goodies in a giveaway. All you need to do to enter is 1)Be a Follower and 2)Leave a comment on this post.  All comments left Sat. Oct. 9 and Sun. Oct. 10 will be entered, and I will use random.org to pick a winner that will be announced on Monday, Oct. 11.  This is what you can win.

Hi, Jean. Of course that room sign is just so cute.

Wow, you're having another giveaway?!!! How wonderful are you!!! Somebody is going to be as happy as I am!!!

Sorry I'm just getting around to letting you know I got my package and to thank you so much!!! I wanted to get to you before you saw the post but I had to lay down after posting because my head was really throbbing. I really love all the goodies, they are all amazing and I just know I won't be giving them up. If I use them -- at all -- I'll probably keep the project. And, I love the little bag too!!! Thank you so much for letting me participate!!!

Hi!I have recently been obsessed with your crafts! I even made a paper monster yesterday though it came out more a semi circle haha.
Happy Birthday to your sister!
Love Cara

Cara, some of mine don't go all the way around either. I think it has to do with how wide the book is and how thick it is. I really want to get a small dictionary and try to make a little tiny one. :)

Cara said...

Yeah I think it had to do with the thickness. But its against a wall right now so you can hardly tell anyways. A small dictionary is a good idea! It would be very cute! I also found a harry potter book, and took off the hardcover(Dont worry preserved the pages). I saw online that I can make a purse with it! I'm so excited! Love Cara

To keep packaged goods fresh and in good condition, it is essential to use China CPP Tissue film manufacturers films because of its outstanding barrier capabilities against gases, moisture, and odors. Because of these qualities, it is perfect for packaging perishable goods, including food and medical supplies. Manufacturers and customers benefit significantly from the improved barrier capabilities, which aid in extending shelf life, maintaining product integrity, and protecting contents from external pollutants.
